PALESTINE 36 Palestine-UK-France-Denmark-Norway-Qatar-Saudi Arabia-Jordan, 2025, 118 min, color

Rare archival footage sets the stage for the unfolding story, providing a striking counterpoint to the dramatic events: the vibrant mix of people in Jerusalem following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, the migration of European Jews fleeing the Nazis, and British attempts to enforce colonial rule.

Yusuf moves between his native village and the rapidly changing city. Young Afra struggles to adapt to the transformations with the guidance of her grandmother. A disgruntled dock worker, burdened by the need to provide for his family, is driven to join a rebel movement. Can the British administration maintain control over the escalating tensions?
